Yes, it is still cold and damp, but not so dreary after all.

Get Outside
I know, it's cold and damp and dreary. Go on now, grab that fleece hanging up by the back door and slip on those muck boots on your way out (you might want gloves and a hat).

Bada Bing
If I were summer...
I'd refuse to go quietly! I might even scream and kick and throw myself to the ground like a tantrumous (not sure that's a word, but it should be) child. I'd remember howall most of you pleaded and begged for my arrival, my light, my warmth (can I help it if I get a little overzealous at times). Jeezum, I'm just getting settled and all comfy when in burst fall pushing and shoving announcing my turn is over. Well, HELLO?
Just remember...
I'll be back.
Bada Boom!

T'was Mint to Be
Little did I know it would take a rip roaring beast of a flood and a bowl of pumpkin barley soup to get me back inside the doors of a church (it's been a very long while). Riding my bike into the village today I noticed this sign in front of the Waitsfield United Church of Christ.
Iliyan Deskov and Savitri Bhagavati have set up shop in the basement kitchen of the church until repairs, restoration and renovation of their once charming little restaurant MINT are complete. Another sign inside the door informs us...
You know what they say... when the going gets tough, the tough get cooking

I had a wonderful lunch today with my best friend and my daughter in the basement of the village church, it felt kind of special. And you want to know something else? It was the best darn church lunch I've ever had!

Ever since you were but a honeybee's dream I've been watching you.

The apple squeezing crew has arrived, everybody man your station.
Yes Alex, we agree, life is fun.
And the cider... oh so sweet.
